EXPRESS2 welcomes Ezio Costa, new climate law expert
From law to action: Bridging climate justice, participation, and governance
Connecting territory, law and people in Europe’s ecological transition
The EXPRESS2 project is pleased to welcome Ezio Costa Cordella as a new expert in climate change, environmental law, and justice. Ezio brings a strong academic and advocacy background to the team. He earned his law degree from the University of Chile and his Ph.D. in law from the same institution. He also holds an MSc in regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Costa Cordella currently serves as an associate professor of law and deputy director of the environmental law center at the University of Chile. He is also the executive director of FIMA, a leading organisation in environmental law and justice in Latin America.
Costa’s academic work focuses on environmental law, climate justice, and ecological transition, particularly the interactions between law, territory, and public participation. Costa’s interdisciplinary approach and international outlook will enrich EXPRESS2’s mission to foster just and inclusive climate transitions in Europe.
He is the author and editor of several key publications, including:
